MASSEY BUSINESS INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP COMPETITION
The School of Business at Robert University hosted a one day “Massey Business Innovation and Sustainable Business Development Workshop Competition” for rising high school junior and senior students. The program was sponsored by Massey Charitable Trust.
The goal of the workshop was to enhance the students’ knowledge and skills regarding business innovation and sustainable business development. A case study was given to students from three high schools (Carrick High School, Montour High School, Moon Area High School) in advance. The high school teacher from each high school worked with the students (teachers are listed below). The workshop training was provided by members of the full-time business faculty (see below). The training include topics on sustainable business practices, business and market research, database analysis, feasibility study, cost analysis, and marketing plan development. After the workshop, the students from the various high schools then developed the case analysis at their respective high school. Three weeks later, the business faculty members from RMU evaluated the case analysis from each high school to determine who won the competition.
The students successfully completing the workshop received Certificates of Achievement.
