Job Fair

-Noon (12pm) OCTOBER 15 is the deadline for FREE online pre-registration for the WestPACS Job and Internship Fair
 --Date: Wednesday, October 17, 2012, 10am-3pm --Location: Monroeville Convention Center, Monroeville, PA
 FACTS: *  119 organizations registered at 10/5/12 *  Employers recruiting for part-time, full-time and internship positions *  FREE registration if you register at before noon 10/15/12 *  If not pre-registered online, $10 (cash only) walk-in fee at the door. *  Limited transportation available for RMU students- check with the Career Center for details*  Refer a friend and be entered in a drawing to win one of 10 $50 gas cards! Have your friends register by noon October 15th. When they register, be sure they put your name and college in the referred by friend field. You must attend the job fair to be eligible to collect your prize.

*  WestPACS is a consortium of more than 40 Western PA colleges and numerous employers; this Job and Internship Fair is the largest job fair in the Pittsburgh region for college students and alumni.

* Professional dress required! * Take lots of error-free resumes! * Only college level and alumni job-seekers (full-time, internship, part-time) permitted into the fair (No parents, children or significant others!) * Seminars on How to Make the Most of a Job Fair  (including networking at the job fair, how to approach an employer, how to sell yourself and how to follow up after the job fair) will be offered at the WestPACS fair at 10:15am and 11:00am..  Visit the 'For Candidate' portion of for details.
 HELPFUL ADVICE: *  Visit to see listing of participating organizations, searchable by major and type of opportunities available (internship/full-time/part-time) *  A Job Fair tip sheet is available at the RMU Career Center or online at RMU's Career Center website ( ) under the Student Services section. *  Useful video clips from employers on how to make a favorable impression are available on the 'For Candidate---Job Fair Prep' section of*  Research the organizations you are most interested in before the fair.  Fill out website applications, if applicable. *  Have a one-minute commercial about yourself, relating your skills and interests to the position you are seeking.
